Educare DC’s Prenatal Program, Moms 2 Be, empowers mothers through the continuum of pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting an infant.

Our goal is to support mothers and their babies by ensuring they have access to quality healthcare, parenting and birthing classes, support and coaching from experts, and connection with other mothers.

The program meets at Educare DC’s campus at IDEA Public Charter School in Deanwood. The program is free for income-qualified DC residents. We admit pregnant moms on a rolling basis.

We Succeed When Mothers, Babies, and Families Are:

Picture1

Healthy: Mothers and babies have access to health care, such as screeners and connections to needed services, including dental, mental health, nutrition, and other specialists.

Picture2

Mindful: Mothers and babies are healthy in mind, body, and spirit. We provide a safe and comfortable environment where mothers can share openly and build strong habits to cope with the stressors of pregnancy and motherhood.

Picture3

Empowered: Mothers have the relationships, tools, resources, and self-realization to create their ideal future for themselves, their child, their family, and their community.

Picture4

Informed: Mothers have the deepened understanding of the physical and emotional changes and stages of pregnancy, childbirth, and infant development.
